Triple M’s Pilot Week

Every show started with a first show.

For the first time ever, Triple M is giving everyday Aussies the chance to host a national Breakfast show to be heard across metro markets.

This December, five brand-new Breakfast shows will hit the airwaves for Triple M’s Pilot Week, a bold new initiative giving fresh voices a shot at the big time on one of Australia’s most iconic radio networks.

If you’ve ever listened to Mick Molloy, James Brayshaw or Beau Ryan and thought, “I reckon I could do that!” — this is your moment.

Triple M is looking for the funny, the unpredictable, the genius…  We want you!

FAQs
Do you have to have a radio show or a podcast to enter?
No. Entries are open to anyone with a great story or idea. Every great show started with a first show. If you’re shortlisted, you will be paired with experienced Triple M show and audio producers to help bring your idea to life.

I have no experience in radio / I work for SCA / I am already a announcer. Am I able to enter?
Yes. Pilot Week is open to all public and internal entries.

Can my show just be by myself?
Absolutely, but we recommend entering as a duo or team unless your idea is particularly compelling.

If I enter as a solo person, will I be matched up with other solo entrants to form a show?
Potentially! Compelling solo applicants may be encouraged to pair with others by the judging panel to strengthen their chance of selection.

If I don’t have a large social media following, is it worth applying?
Yes. All applications are reviewed by the Triple M judging panel and assessed on creativity and potential – not follower count. If you’ve got what it takes to be a Triple M host – we want to hear from you!

When will Pilot Week be broadcast across Triple M?
Pilot Week airs from Monday, December 15 to Friday, December 19 across Triple M’s metro markets in the marquee Breakfast timeslot.

Can I upload my audio directly to the website?

Entries must be submitted via a YouTube link or by linking a public social media post (we can’t view private accounts so please make sure you set your profile to public).

Can I enter if I’m younger than 18?
No. All contributors must be 18 years or older.
